Thanksgiving Turkey Number Hunt

Place the Thanksgiving number flashcards around the classroom. Call out a number, and students must find the correct flashcard, touch it, and say the number aloud. For extra practice, students can count Thanksgiving objects on the card or use the number in a complete sentence such as, "I see seven turkeys!"

This simple movement game helps reinforce number recognition.

Thanksgiving Board Game

Print and assemble the Thanksgiving board game for a fun speaking activity. Students take turns rolling the die, moving their game piece, and saying the number they land on. Encourage them to make complete sentences such as, “Number five!” . This hands-on game helps reinforce number recognition, counting skills, and oral language practice.

Turkey Number Match

Students love card games to play in groups.

Students match the numeral cards, number word cards, and turkey feather quantity cards. As they make each set, encourage them to say the number aloud and count the feathers to reinforce number recognition, vocabulary, and counting skills.

Pumpkin Number Match

Students match the pumpkin quantity cards with the correct numeral and number word cards on the pocket chart. As they complete each set, encourage them to count the pumpkins aloud and say the number sentence, such as “There are six pumpkins.”

This Thanksgiving game can be played using the pocket chart or just on a table.

Printable Thanksgiving Worksheets

Students count the pumpkins in each wheelbarrow and trace the matching number word. Then, they color the pumpkins and the number word. There are numerals for the students to color, cut and paste on each wheelbarrow.

Listen and Color the Turkey Numbers

Students listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions and color the numbers on the turkey feathers. As they complete the worksheet, they practice number recognition, listening skills, and color vocabulary.
