Garden ESL games kindergarten vocabulary interactive activities

These Garden Unit Games are part of a complete Garden or Nature Unit for Kindergarten English Language Learners, designed to help students use vocabulary through interaction, play, and communication.  This is the stage where students move from practicing words to actually using them in meaningful ways.

As children play all these games they will use the garden language as they improve their speaking and listening skills. Games are not just for fun—they are one of the most effective ways for young learners to practice language.

For the kinesthetic learner there are hands-on-elements such as cards, game board and many more.

Props for the family unit

Teacher: Look! A tie! Who am I?
Students: Dad!

Students should be able to use the key structure: This is Dad.
Or students can show their prop and the class will guess which family member the prop belongs to.
You can also bring in real objects.
