This Insects Printable Book and Rewards resource is the final stage of a complete insects unit, designed to help students use, review, and celebrate their learning. After learning vocabulary, practicing through games, and reinforcing with worksheets, students are ready to use vocabulary independently.
Insects Vocabulary Printable Book
I added the insects words and common sight words: I ,can, see a, giving the students the fluency to read that they
will need in elementary. Just print the black and white pages for the students
to color and then take home to read with their parents. Use the magnifying
glass printable on the flashcards file and make it even more fun as the
students read using it.
Or, you can only print the teacher version to read in class.
PRINTABLE BOOK – FROM WORDS TO READING, take a look!!
I made another book featuring bees at a birthday party. Great if you have gone over the Birthday unit already.
There is a colored version for you to just print , bind and go.
Ask questions when you read.
Teacher reads: The bee girl has a present and a hat.
What color is the present?
Students: pink and greem!
What color is the hat?
Students: pink and yellow!
The student that has the prop can show it to the class.
And if you want to do more, well, there is a coloring version of the book.
I would suggest that you give each student any of the following coloring book props without telling them what is it for. Have them color as assigned on each item. Cut and add a straw behind one. When you start reading have the students pull out the item that they have that you have read.
Puzzle Rewards for Kindergarten ESL Students
These Puzzle Rewards are an engaging alternative to traditional classroom prizes. As students participate, speak in English, complete their work, and demonstrate positive behavior, they earn puzzle pieces that gradually reveal a colorful picture. This visual reward system keeps children excited, encourages teamwork, and helps them celebrate their progress throughout the unit.
This resource includes two different reward options that can be used with any Kindergarten or Elementary ESL/EFL thematic unit.
The Class Puzzle Reward encourages the entire class to work together toward a common goal. Display the black-and-white puzzle template where everyone can see it, and each time the class demonstrates positive behavior or reaches a classroom goal, reward them with one colored puzzle piece.
The Individual Puzzle Reward gives every student the opportunity to celebrate their own accomplishments. Print one black-and-white puzzle template for each student and keep it in a folder, on a bulletin board, or inside their portfolio.
Whenever a student demonstrates excellent behavior, participates actively, speaks in English, completes an assignment, or shows improvement, reward them with one colored puzzle piece.
