Shapes Unit Cutouts

Use these to introduce or review the shapes. I placed mine onto craft stick and made puppets. It is easy then for distance teaching.

The video of me using the puppets on my laptop.

Remember the crown I made for the first unit, Greetings, well, I used it again on a very windy and almost rainy day. Sorry for the bloppers but you can get the idea using the cutouts anyway. A crown can be used any time with any cutouts.

Sorting the Shapes cutouts

Students will sort the shape cutouts into the correct categories by matching each object to its corresponding shape. As they compare and classify the pictures, they reinforce shape vocabulary while developing visual discrimination and categorization skills. This hands-on activity encourages observation, discussion, and critical thinking in a fun and engaging way.
