Halloween Sharks for Kindergarten ESL

This resource is included in the Sea unit for K-2 English Language Learners at this link: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Sea-Unit-for-Kindergarten-Holistic-English-Series-29-8348964

Using sharks dressed up for Halloween adds an element of fun and excitement that grabs young learners’ attention, making lessons more engaging and motivating.

Introduce new vocabulary related to Halloween using the sharks. Flashcards with the Halloween-themed sharks help students visually connect words with images. Cut the flashcards into 2, 4 or 6 pieces and have the stduents put all the puzzles together. There 7 sharks.

Colorful visuals of sharks in costumes help ELLs make associations between words and images. Use the ghost reader to help your stduents say what shark is there on the small cards and to read the word on it. Assemble the reader by adding a craft stick.
