Spring Flashcards are meant to be useful for your visual learners as they will associate the picture to the word. Play group games using the flashcards for endless fun.
Start with a meaningful activity to identify the body parts. Students should be able to identify the parts of their own body by now in order to continue with other items.
Labeling pictures is a way to use print in English with your
students. The label will represent the word that your students will dictate to
you.
Teacher: What is this?
Students: face! (Teacher writes the word on the board)
This is great to name the parts
of the body (head, leg, arm, hand, foot) using the flower flashcard. Students can describe the physical characteristics of the image on the flashcards.
Students: This is the body. These are the arms.
Review the parts
of the face as students identify the facial features in the different flashcards.
Teacher: What are these?Students: They're eyes.Teacher: Touch your eyes! Continue with other parts of the face.
More flashcards to give commands to your students using the Spring theme. Develop the listening skill as you show a flashcard and have the students do the action, as in TPR.
Teacher: sit like the flower!
Another collection of bee flashcards with the numbers 1 to 10. Have the students do the speaking here. One of them can come to the board and point to each number and name it. Notice that they are in random order. This can be a vocabulary review game for your kids.
