Consolidate the Winter Vocabulary in a very meaningful way.
Winter Flashcards
Review the clothes theme with your preschool learner.
Use
the penguin flashcards to review two basic winter clothing items: the scarf and
the winter hat. Students will describe what the snowman is wearing. Use chunks of functional language to make it as a conversation.
Teacher: What color is this hat?
Students: green!
Teacher: What color is this scarf?
Students: red!
More
number review. Hand in the snowflake flashcards to
your students in random order. Tell them to stand in line in the numerical
order.
Winter
clothes are very specific. Review with the snowman
flashcards.
Say, It's cold. What clothes do we need?
Students: We need a hat and a scarf!
Place
all the flashcards on the board and add a number to each one. Say a number and
the students will say what that snowman is wearing.
Teacher: Number four!
Students: pink and blue hat and scarf!
The snowman flashcards are great to review the parts of the face.
More commands
flashcards featuring the snowman and the snowflake to get your students to
follow instructions. Students should be able to understand the action verbs such as: stand up, sit down, read, write, walk and more.
Students
should practice expressing their
emotions in English. Model a sentence for the students.
Teacher: The penguin is happy!
Students: The snowman is angry!
