Routine Verbs Game Hurray!

I found this game in some old files. Hand in the same cards to two students. They can shuffle the cards and place them face down. The students place a card on the table. The students name the cards as they place them on the table. If the cards match, the students say HURRAY! If the cards don’t match they put them aside. It is a great listening activity.

Use the small cards to make the poster with the vocabulary that you are working on. Use it for the students to name each routine verb.
Say the routine verb and a student points to it.
Ask questions.
