This blog post is for the Routine Verbs Small cards, useful for teaching small groups or online for Kindergarten ESL or ENL. The complete resource is available at the TPT store:
Children love the make believe world like the
children cutouts live in a house and have a routine to follow. They should be able to describe the location of the children in the house.
Students benefit from repeating what was
learned. Use the cutouts for even more
repetition in another setting. I glued the parts of the house onto cardboard
and they can be used for any other unit.
Students should be able to identify and name actions that take place either in the morning or at night and in which room in the house.
Place
any routine cutout that takes place in the bathroom. Ask questions.
Teacher: Where is he?Students: in the bathroom!Teacher: What is he doing?Students: He is taking a bath.
The cutouts will aid into associate activities with rooms in a house.Other
routines take place in the bedroom. Put
up the bedroom cutout and have the students find the routine that they do in
the bedroom and name them as they place the cutout.
Student: I get dressed in the bedroom.
