This blog post is for the games included in the Transportation resource to use in your classroom. It is available at the TPT store.
Transportation Domino Game. It will be a
great way for students to recognize the vocabulary as you create a play rich
environment.
Transportation Vocabulary Bingo. Each student will make their own
playing card. They will color and cut apart the transportation items they
choose and paste them on their Bingo card. Play blacking out all
the items on the card.
Transportation game board. Use the game to practice naming the vocabulary, counting and keep looking to who is close to the end. Students will have to use a dice and use their fingers to roll it.
Students can identify the transportation objects using the simple present statements with the verb be with the 3rd person in singular.
Teacher: It's a bike.
Transportation half card game. Students get to polish their matching skills. This game will require communication as the students have to walk around the classroom looking for another student that has the other half. The game can be used as a puzzle matching game done on a table in small groups or alone.
Transportation file folder game for matching numbers and colors to the cars. This is an independent activity that students can play on their own or with another classmate. There are two size cars, numbers and colors items. Matching is basically a visual discrimination skill.
