This blog post will be on how to use the worksheets as the practice part of Garden Unit lesson plan. These ideas will help you plan quickly the material for the day.Garden Unit Worksheets can motivate students if
they are fun and creative leading into effective learning of the new
vocabulary. This specific set of worksheets are intended to be
small flashcards for the students to play games in class. I added the reader.
Print it out and add a craft stick to help students read the word and name the
picture.
Take a look on using the reader that is included in the resource.
Worksheets
help students with their fine motor skills using their imaginations as they
grab their crayons, scissors and more! Students trace each item and then, using
a pointer or their finger point to each one as they identify things that grow in a garden.
Teacher: tree!
The worksheets can be adapted to any age or level
of your class as a way to review previous units such as body and face. Students should be able to identify the facial features in the flower as they trace each one and identify the parts of the body on the other flower.

The competency to develop for the unit is to be able to discover the natural world around them. To observe that there are other living animals that an be found in the trees. Students can put in all their knowledge of this
unit along with the colors and pets units into any worksheet that you choose to
have them finish.

Another big or small worksheet. As simple as tracing a line from the small leaf to the big leaf to having students write the word for each item using manipulative letters.
Worksheets can challenge the students into sorting
the flowers and trees shapes and then more sorting using the pocket chart.

Worksheets as an art activity. Students will figure out where to draw things as a way to improve logical thinking.
Show the small cards as a way to say what should be on the garden scene.
Students can draw the garden items anywhere they want.

Worksheets
can recycle the numbers along with the new vocabulary. Do it as a listening
activity.
Teacher: Find flower number seven! Color it pink.
Another Number Tree activity. This set of worksheets can be enlarged at the copier and make it to a buble copy. It is helpful if your students are very young and you think it is suitable for them. I have done this several times and it worked well.
Students will color the trees and the numbers words. Then help them cut the cards.
Students will match each tree with apples to the corresponding number. Have them put the numbers in a numberal sequence.
Place the numbers cards into a recycled CD paper envelope.
Identify and use the emotions or feelings adjectives as the students color and cut the flower faces onto each space. Then, as an extra make puppets.

The
other half worksheets are for drawing fun!
