This post focuses on the production stage of a complete Numbers 1–10 Unit for Kindergarten English Language Learners. At this stage, students move beyond recognition and practice—they begin to use numbers actively through games, interaction, and speaking. This is where real learning happens.
These games and cutouts are not isolated activities. They are designed to work after the presentation (flashcards) and practice (worksheets) stages, creating a complete and structured learning progression.

The fun part of the lesson, the activities. Here are just a few of the many things that you can do with numbers and get those kids speaking.
Use of the Cutouts in Games
These cutouts are tools for interaction and communication. tudents can manipulate, move, and use them in different contexts, which is essential for young learners.
I placed a magnet behind each number to
use on a magnetic whiteboard for online teaching. You can make your own cutouts using numbers from magazines. Make a number line using the cutouts as your first activity.

Use magnetic numbers to match the cutout
to a number.
I punched colored circles to correspond with
the cutouts.
Play with a small flyswatter and the cutouts.
Interactive games with the Printable Cutouts
I glued the numbers onto recycled CDs.
They can be used for online teaching as well. Have the students match the amount of
balls to each number.
A video on how to use these cutouts for online teaching.
Feed me box and Cutouts
I made my feed me box with a recycled cake mix box. I covered the front with paper and then glued the animal cutout. Have all the cutouts ready. Teacher: Feed Number 5 to the ground hog.
A video on how I used it.
I added this other feed me box template! A pencil case, just to review in a way the previous school unit.
This encourages students to recognize, say, and use numbers in context, reinforcing what they learned in the previous stages. Take a look!
Numbers 1 to 10 Bingo
is always a favorite and it can be done in class or online.
Print all the numbers 1 to 10 (calling cards)in each color that you would like to play with. You can choose the colors that you want to review. I recycled a gift bag and placed all the cards into the bag for calling the numbers.
Give your students the numbers template. Students will color the numbers anyway they want and that will be their Bingo board.
Sorting the Bingo Number Cards by Color
Students will sort the numbers cutout calling cards by numbers on their BINGO worksheet.
Half Card Game
Students can work in small groups putting the cards together to make a number. Games increase motivation and participation.
Board games never let you down
Easy to use and fun for your students. At this stage of the lesson plan, students enter the games with confidence.
Matching Number games that your students can do in small groups with little supervision from you. Students are ready to use the language instead of guessing.
This is where students USE the language, this is a video of the gumball machine card game.
Numbers 1 to 10 Puzzles are fun for your younger students. They can say the number after they complete a number. This kind of games to develop speaking and confidence.

Printable Book for the Numbers 1 to 10. Students color the numbers as indicated in
the sentence. They also trace the sentences. Assemble the book and practice
reading. I assembled mine creating a standing fold. It
took a lot of measuring but in the end it turned out easy.
Take a look of the video on how to use the book for distance learning.
Here are the pages of the book.
Why insert these books in the lesson plan?
Here I am working on the book to make my example for Instagram.
