School objects and Colors Phrases for Kindergarten ELLs

This resource is included in the School Theme for Kindergarten-Holistic English Resources #3. You can find it here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/School-Unit-for-Kindergarten-Holistic-English-Series-3-5977653

Let’s review the school objects and colors. These are words that the students will be using all the time. This resource is with a focus on teaching phrases that combine adjectives and nouns for pencils and crayons.

These flashcards help learner review not only the names of objects but also the color descriptive words, expanding their vocabulary significantly. Print and cut the crayons with the color word for the students to match to each illustration on the flashcards.

Use the flashcards for reviewing how adjectives and nouns work together as a phrase. Start teaching grammar in an easy way. You can cut the color word for the students to place it by putting the puzzle together.

By using descriptive phrases children will be able to communicate clearly saying: a yellow pencil.

There is a puzzle in a pencil shape to describe the pencils: a blue pencil. This helps with cognitive skills such as categorization and comparison.
