Drill
the color words with the heart flashcards. Encourage students to say the color
words aloud.
Play
lip reading. Saw this game and think it’s quite cute. Show a flashcard at a
time and silently mouth the color of the heart. Have the students say it as
loud as possible!
Games
will help reinforce grammar points if you feel it necessary for the group. You
can play the color bingo as a grammar bingo. When you call the bingo say
a complete sentence like: It’s
a red heart!
Students
will color the hearts any way they want in the playing colors. That will be their
game card.
Print
and play Color DOMINO! Little colored hearts to engage your preschoolers to
analyze them and make connections to place them correctly enhancing their
critical thinking skills.
Board
games are so much fun for the students to use the
language they know in the Valentine’s Day context. They will use the language
to play in order to advance in the board circuit.
This
is a color word mat for your students to recognize all the colors words
from the unit. Students will name the color as they place the word strip on
each heart.
And
just three more esl colors worksheets to complete the unit. Kindergarteners learn best through hands-on
activities, and interactive experiences. They will complete the worksheet and
then create a garland to take home for decoration.
