This resource is included in Zoo Animals Unit for Kindergarten-Holistic English Series #26, just click here: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Zoo-Animals-Unit-for-Kindergarten-Holistic-English-Series-26-8078353

There is this Monkey celebrating Easter.  The monkey happens to like candy and there is a bunch of them. Review the words form this zoo unit and introduce the new vocabulary for the Holiday. Start with the flashcards or the small cards included.

Create a Celebration banner for your classroom and have the students identify all the candy that each monkey is holding. Creating the banners serves as a visual aid to help your students and even more your visual learners better understand the new vocabulary

There are several worksheets to review the colors. Use the worksheets as a form of assessment to identify where your students might need extra support.

Once your children have colored all the marshmallow bunnies, the peep chicks and the eggs, have them cut all the items. There is a set of different sequences strips for your students to replicate and say the words.

A game to review the vocabulary words using the cracked egg puzzle.

Prepare a flip matching book. There is a colored version and a black and white one to suit your classroom needs.  The book is very interactive and engaging.  Students’ attention will be captivated as you match the monkey to the candy.

Teacher: The monkey has an egg. (flip through the pages) Look! Here is the egg.

Encourage your learners to participate flipping through the pages and find the same images that the monkey has and name them.

A basket craft to wrap up the lesson. This craft is great for cultural understanding and making it relevant.  Create the basket with all the candies learned from the lesson.
