Teaching about Easter to your young students is a great opportunity
to acquire new vocabulary related to this cute Holiday and use the face unit as
a review. And it also works to expands the language skills and comprehension of
a new Holiday. Language is culture.
There are 3 flashcards for the Easter unit: egg, rabbit, chick.
Use these for interactive learning to encourage active participation. Place the
flashcard on the board and start asking about the pats of the face on the egg: What’s are these?
Students: eyes!
Continue it the rest of the parts of
the face. Use the pointer that you
can make using the template and a wood rod.
Students: hair!
Then, draw the hair. Continue with the
rest.
Find several worksheets and do a listen and color: color the eyes orange! And have the students draw
the missing part of the face.
