Drill the color words with the heart flashcards. Encourage students to say the color words aloud.

Play lip reading. Saw this game and think it’s quite cute. Show a flashcard at a time and silently mouth the color of the heart. Have the students say it as loud as possible!

Games will help reinforce grammar points if you feel it necessary for the group. You can play the color bingo as a grammar bingo. When you call the bingo say a complete sentence like: It’s a red heart!

Students will color the hearts any way they want in the playing colors. That will be their game card.

Board games are so much fun for the students to use the language they know in the Valentine’s Day context. They will use the language to play in order to advance in the board circuit.

This is a color word mat for your students to recognize all the colors words from the unit. Students will name the color as they place the word strip on each heart.

And just three more esl colors worksheets to complete the unit. Kindergarteners learn best through hands-on activities, and interactive experiences. They will complete the worksheet and then create a garland to take home for decoration.

Incorporating Valentine's Day activities will be a fun way to engage students in a cultural holiday and provide social interaction.

Since Valentine’s Day is not celebrated everywhere and you would like to include it in your lesson plan and hand in a cultural exchange opportunity for your students to learn about this Holiday.

The set of Flowers Flashcards Numbers review is easy and nice. Review the math competence  and mathematical reasoning in your students.

Flowers Flashcards Numbers

Place all the flashcards in random order face down. Students will turn each flashcard and say the number in order to keep the flashcard. The student with the most flashcards is the winner.

Place several flashcards on a table or board. Name one and have the students slap it as they recognize it: It’s a purple and red flower.

Valentine’s day Small Cards with Numbers.

This is an activity that allows your students to learn about this celebration that is common in the USA, but maybe not in their country.

Find 10 cups. Add a craft stick to each small card and punch hearts or find some hearts cutouts made out of fun foam, for example.

The students will sort the heart into each cup based on the number of flowers on the card.

Valentine’s Day Number Flowers Worksheets

Use these for your student’s Vocabulary extension on the Holiday by reviewing the word flower along numbers.

Here is a set of numbers 1 to 10 to color and create a booklet.

There is a tree, a flower and a bush with the hearts on them to color as they wish or you assign the colors. Then, students can cut the item, in this case, the tree and make a crown.

To wrap it up, print, cut and play with the heart puzzle.
