Circus unit color matching game for Kindergarten ELL

This resource is included in the Circus Unit for Kindergarten- Holistic English Series # 27 at this link:  https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Circus-Unit-for-Kindergarten-Holistic-English-Series-27-8156815

Find a color matching game featuring all the vocabulary items from the circus.

Students will review the different colors in English developing their cognitive skills.
Print the templates and prepare different games.

This game will be focused on the student’s ability to recognize and name the colors of the circus items. Print the color items template and have the students match the color word as they say the phrase: a red tent!

You can have all the mats ready as there are clowns, fire rings, tents, cotton candy, stand and ticket. Arrange small groups for the children to play with the different mats. Students will have to manipulate the cards enhancing the hand-eye coordination.

Another way to use the pintables is to create a problem-solving sorting game which will encourage critical thinking. Students sort the cards based on their color.

There is another set of printables to work with the numbers 1 to 10.  Students will talk about the numbers they see in the balloons and match to the words.

Play the games in groups, as students learn to interact with others and cooperate with their peers as they play. They can match the number word, the balloon number card and place a corresponding amount for each number.

Students will enjoy the games and you will be supporting their overall development.
