Seasons Unit Flashcards.
The basic flashcards for introducing the 4 seasons of the year:fall/autumn,winter, spring, summer.
Teacher: What's the season?Students: Winter!
Your students already understand the concept of sorting. Encourage pairwork for this activity.They have done sorting activities in their native language in school. Use this ability to expand their English vocabulary.
All
the Seasons have clothes that relate. Place each Season Flashcard on the board
and have the students sort the children according to their clothes.
Ask
questions.Teacher: It’s fall! What is he wearing?Students: pants! sweater! scarf!
Sort the trees
by season.
Have
the students relate the weather to a
season.Teacher: What’s the Season?Students: It’s Fall.Teacher: What’s the weather?Students: It’s windy.
Use the Seasons
Headers Cutouts to sort out the weather and more that corresponds to each
one. Here are my examples.
