Community Helpers Inmteractive File Folder Game
This interactive file folder game is a fun way for young English learners to review community helpers while developing vocabulary, visual discrimination, and matching skills. To prepare the activity, the teacher simply cuts each community helper card in half along the center line and glues one half of every card onto a file folder. The remaining halves become the matching cards.
Students carefully look at the picture and the community helper word on each card, then search for the missing half that completes the image. Once they find the correct match, they place the card next to the matching half on the file folder to complete the community helper.
This hands-on activity encourages students to recognize community helper vocabulary, read the words, and pay close attention to visual details as they complete each picture.
