This Playground Printable Book, Craft, and Reward set is part of a complete Park & Playground Unit for Kindergarten English Language Learners, designed to help students review, apply, and celebrate what they have learned.

These activities are not just fun—they help students reinforce vocabulary through communication and creativity, which is essential for language development.

Great for sending them home for the emergent reader in your class. This is a color, cut and paste book. There is boy/girl template to paste. Use as you want to complete it in pairs or in bigger groups.

Take a look on how to assemble the playground booklet.

Park or playground unit vocabulary craft
By doing crafts, students are communicating in the target language with you and their classmates. I grabbed a part of a pizza box and glued craft paper around the box. Students could color each playground object and glue onto toilet paper rolls cut in half. Students can place their objects as they wish and have a show and tell activity later.

Park Unit Rewards

These come in handy when your students are struggling within the lesson. You should print these onto card or stiff paper. Show them the reward that is a pass to go to the playground if there is one in school or send home for the parents to take them and explain why you are giving the reward.

Teacher: Tomas, you participated by speaking English in class and here is your pass to go to the playground.

Why Add Crafts and Books to Your ESL Lessons

Crafts and printable books allow students to:

✔ Use language while creating
✔ Practice speaking naturally
✔ Build confidence

When students create and present their work, they are actively using English, not just recognizing it.

The park Cutouts are one of the most flexible tools in the classroom.    Go to the blog post, click here:   https://eflpreschoolteachers.blogspot.com/2021/10/playground-unit-cutouts-for.html
