Learning Shapes with Pets Worksheets
I
love to have the pets in shapes, I used them in flashcards, cutouts and now
on the worksheets. I placed mine into a clear plastic folder from the dollar
tree store. Dictate to the students what to color, trace, cross out, you name
it! Ask students about the pet's home: Look at the rabbits. What's their home?
Students: It's a cage.
Teacher: trace the rectangle dog! Find the square dog,
color the ears. Find the triangle dog, draw the hands.
Sort by shapes the pets worksheets
These shape-sorting worksheets give students extra practice with both shape vocabulary and pet words. Children trace the shape names, color the pet pictures, cut them out, and glue each one into the correct category.
Encourage students to describe their work after they finish. They can identify the shape, the animal, and its color.
Student: My bird is a rectangle. It's red.
