These Pets Small Cards activities for Kindergarten ESL provide hands-on opportunities for students to work with words like dog, cat, fish, bird, and rabbit through matching, sorting, and speaking activities. Small cards are especially effective because they allow students to touch, move, and manipulate vocabulary, making learning more engaging and meaningful.

At this stage, students move from recognizing pets vocabulary to actively using it through interaction and repetition.

Let’s jump right into the small cards activities for the pets unit to teach Kindergarten ELL. They are small for online teaching or small group instruction. There are all the flashcards but smaller. Great to have your students practice key vocabulary. It is a support for your students to learn the new words. Find great ideas!
