Body Unit Games for the English Language Learner

This part of the Body Unit focuses on the production stage of the lesson plan, where students actively use the language through games and collaborative activities. These games are designed to encourage speaking, interaction, and confidence while reinforcing body parts vocabulary in a fun and meaningful way.

Body unit Games. Those last minutes of the class with the little ones are the hardest. Here are some games to keep them busy and speaking English.It is also a support for your students to learn the new material.

Bingo game.

Bingo is a classic classroom game that works perfectly for reviewing vocabulary. In this version, students actively participate by selecting and using body part cards, making the activity both interactive and meaningful.

Play the game as any other BINGO! By having the students color the template ítems and cut them into cards. Have them select 6 cards to play the Bingo game.

The Bingo cards are for more than just playing. Write all the vocabulary words on big cardboard. Have the students place each card on top of each word.

Half cards game.

Print the cards and cut them in the middle. Students can just pair each part. For a more in classs activity, you can hand in a part to each student in random orer and have them look around for another student that has the other part and make a complete card and stand together. Students will name the body part in the picture.

A classic puzzle with monsters. 

Just print and the students put the pieces together to create the body.

Puzzles help students develop problem-solving skills while reviewing vocabulary.

Left & Right Puzzle

Another kind of puzzle in which students can work on left and right.This variation of the puzzle introduces direction concepts like left and right, helping students expand their understanding beyond basic vocabulary.

Domino Game

Domino game mainly helps develop critical thinking skills, it requiere attention and focus from the players. Social interaction between the students will go on.

Body Unit Gameboard. 

Students are not exposed to gameboards enough during their childhood, bring them back to the English class for lots of fun and actívate the communication in English.
