Clothes Unit Worksheets for the ESL Student

This is the next part of the lesson Plan: Practice with the Clothes Worksheets. LINK to the resource: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Clothes-Unit-for-Kindergarten-Holistic-English-Series-12-6483533

Use these worksheets as small physical flashcards for the students to play many games, they can play on their table or desks. They are small enough to play games with you online. I used the clothesline from the cutouts to write words using the small cards as a reference.

Students can match their flashcards to the cutouts or any other cutouts from magazines.

Clothes and a suitcase. There are two worksheets for this.
The blank suitcase can be done using magazine cutouts or students drawing clothing items. I cut the suitcase and glued it onto a lunch bag. Students would use the leftover clothing cutouts to finish packing the suitcase as they say the name of each cutout.
The other one is a tracing, cut and paste classic worksheet.

With all the remaining cutouts, play with the suitcase.

And why not use the dotted lines to have the students cut the clothes to play games in class.

Worksheets to sort the clothes into boy or girl. There are two worksheets, one to color and then sort after cutting all the pieces, and the other where students color the clothes and paste as they sort the clothes.

Ask the students about the clothes they like and why they chose it.
Student: I like/don't like the blue shirt.

Take a look!

From a Winter hat to a Crown! Have the students color the shapes as you dictate them. They cut the shapes and glue on the hat. Cut the hat and make a Crown hat.

Review the numbers. Dictate the colors of each clothing item and the numbers.

Teacher: Color the pants Green!
Color number three blue.
Then, have the students cut all the clothing items and numbers. Dictate where to glue each number.
Teacher: The shirt is number one.
Finally, have the students place the clothing items on the clothesline with the numbers in order. Ask questions:
Teacher: What is number four?
Students: coat!

Here is a review of the TOYS unit!

Students will color the toys as they listen to your instructions.

Teacher: Find the car! Color the car blue!
When all the toys are done, continue with the T-shirts.
Teacher: Find the ball T-shirt. Color that T-shirt blue.

If you want to extend the worksheet, have the students cut their T-shirts from the worksheets. You can trace all the T-shirts on a cardboard and write the Word of each toy on each T-shirt. Then, students can match each T-shirt to the words.

There is a set of worksheets for the student's to draw the girl's or the boy's clothes. Then, they can come up and show their work and what the person is wearing according the drawing. There is also the set of just listen and color the color of the boy or girl. You can do both or just one set.

Coloring the clothes using these worksheets as a group activity. Then can even cut each clothing item and the group have their own cutouts for sorting the clothes for boy and girls, the common ones. Sort the clothes for boy and girls. And create even more sorting attributes such as colors, etc.

Review the shapes by having the students draw the shapes on the clothes.
