Farm animals Games that come as optional additional material for the unit.
Game board is always fun for your students for counting practice. Print as many
game boards that you need for the whole class. Set the rules for the games.
Here is an idea, students can say a sentence for the animal on which he/she
landed in order to stay on the spot, if not, he/she has to go back.
Student: horse! I can see a horse!
Have a variety of games for your lesson. Here’s
another one to help learning.
Farm unit Pocket Chart. It can be used as a word wall if you go from room
to room in the same school.
It can be used for making sentences.
Farm Animals Domino, a fun matching picture to picture game. Students
will learn to take turns as they recognize the farm animals.
Farm Animals Bingo. Give each student a Bingo template and choose how many animals will be added to their template. Maybe 6 or 8 would be good. Print a set of b/w animals for each 2 or 3 students to select which ones to color and glue onto their Bingo template. Print a set of your colored calling cards and start playing. This game is to help your students with the observation and matching skill needed in the young years.
Farm Animals File folder game to sort the farm animals by shape. This is easy
to assemble and is great to have an independent activity for those last minutes
of the class.
Print the shape wands and have something fun to play with.
There is an Emotions Sorting File Folder Game.
Farm Animals Half Card Game. Cut the cards in half. You can have your
students play in small groups on the floor or a table. Have the students mix
all the cards and then match the animal cards. If the students place the cards
face down it can be a memory game as well. Two ways to play with this set of
cards.
Farm Animals Bowling. Grab some recycled water or soda bottles. Print, cut and glue the farm animal onto each bottle. Find a small ball and play the game.
