Introduce new vocabulary related to Halloween using
the sharks. Flashcards with the Halloween-themed sharks help students visually connect words with images. Cut
the flashcards into 2, 4 or 6 pieces and have the stduents put all the puzzles
together. There 7 sharks.
Colorful visuals of sharks in costumes help ELLs make
associations between words and images. Use the ghost reader to help your
stduents say what shark is there on the small cards and to read the word
on it. Assemble the reader by adding a craft stick.
Using Halloween sharks ties in with the holiday theme. This is a worksheet that can be transformed into a matching activity.
Use the pocket chart cards to appeal to both
visual and kinesthetic learners.
Teachers can use the pocket chart to help students
build simple sentences, such as "It’ a witch.", giving learners a fun
way to practice grammar and vocabulary.
